What is BEES?

BEES is the perfect companion for the busy bee that you are. It helps you to find what's happening around you, when and where! With EVENTFUL, an industry leader event provider you will be overwhelmed with a multitude of events across a variety of categories. With close integration with social services (Facebook & Twitter) and the buddy service all your friends will know instantly what you are up to!

Map

BEES is location aware and shows you where you are on the map screen. At start up all events within your settings proximity filters will be fetched and displayed. All your confirmed buddies will also appear as bee icons on the map. The map can be panned and zoomed and all event searches are based on the map centre as position.

Lists

A user can also navigate through fetched events on the list view. The list items are previews of the events. They give a quick indication of the event with details such as title, venue and start time. You can also directly post to your favourite social network with a long press on an event item.

Calendar

BEES is fully integrated with your handset and allows you to add an event to your phone’s calendar. The event screen contains full details of the event with event description, performer name, venue location and date. You can also post to your favourite social network from this screen.

Buddies

BEES comes with a buddy service implementation. It allows you to add buddies and befriend other BEES users. You can manage your buddies from the buddy screen. This includes addition and removal of buddies. You can also set your privacy limits so that you are not searchable in the buddy service. On top of that BEES works in harmony with Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. You can directly post your whereabouts from within the application.

Settings

BEES is totally customizable to your preferences, be it to choosing to look for the latest local sporting event, or searching further a field for a rock gig.

It also takes your privacy seriously, choose who can and can’t see you, use it to make new friends, or just as an aid for yourself to find events.
